Vigorous growing erect bush having an open growth habit. A Northern Highbush variety with straight canes growing to a height of 5 to 6 feet. Spread 4 to 6 feet. Very large, firm, powder blue berries ripen mid July. The fruit is resistant to cracking and has a fair scar. Fruit is an aromatic with excellent sweet flavor in large, very tight clusters.
Plant more than one variety for pollination. Cold hardy; disease resistant, a sun-loving bush that needs acidic soil. The bluish green foliage of summer changes to a blaze of crimson in fall. Plant as an informal hedge. Attracts wildlife and birds. Excellent snack, good for making pancakes, pies, muffins, jelly, and preserves.
