An extremely vigorous growing blueberry with an upright, open growing habit. Mature height 5 to 6 feet with a spread of 4-6 feet. Brightly colored burgundy bark accents the grey-green foliage of summer. The foliage changes to a deep red wine color in fall. The flowers are bell or urn shaped, white, pink or slightly greensih in color. This is a fall bearing berry that produces late August through September.
Small to medium size powder blue fruit on loose clusters. Berries have a small scar, are firm with a sweet, slightly tangy good flavor. They remain firm until picked, they do not crack or drop.
Disease resistant, unusually winter hardy. Self pollinating, select a sunny location to plant. Prefers well-drained acidic soil rich in organic matter. Attracts birds and wildlife, ornamental foliage spring through fall. A well known baking delicacy, a garden must!
