Height to 25 to 30 feet. Spread: 20 to 25 feet. Clusters of small single white flowers in May and early June. Bright red fruit, fall and winter. Fall color, scarlet-orange. Very decorative tree for use as a specimen tree, screen, street plantings and naturalizing. Its dense twiggy branches cut down on road noise and light glare. Berries attract birds. Thorns are a deterrent from browsing deer.
