Wardii is a wide spreading flat topped yew. Dense form. Left unpruned this yew has the potential of reaching 5 to 8 feet in height by 15 to 20 feet wide or may be pruned to maintain desired height. This variety has at least two growth flushes per season; prune after new growth hardens. Foliage is dark green on the upper surface, yellow-green on the under side. Likes average soil, average moisture conditions. Plant in sun or shaded area. May be used for low privacy screens, large clipped hedges, low formal hedges, foundation planting, or in mass plantings.
