Zone 2-6
Also known as European Birch. Grows 40 to 50 feet. Open glossy dark green foliage turns yellow or yellow green in the fall. Thrives in cool, moist locations. Will tolerate fairly wet conditions, such as along streams and lakes. A very popular ornamental because of its pendulous branches, graceful habit, and snow-white bark. Bark will turn white in 4 to 6 years after planting. Plant 3 to 5 seedlings together to create a clump effect. Has a fairly small leaf.
Height is about 1-3 feet upon shipping.
